Today's outfit - beautiful Indian Summer

I know that September 15th is traditionally the 'Felt Hat Day' in many places, but today the weather is still very fine here in Bavaria and as we're often blessed with warm and wonderful 'Indian Summer', and so I'm stretching it out as long as possible.

Todays's outfit:
Panama Boater by Mayserhut
White Polo by la Coste (these are still some of the very best polo shirts in the business)
Navy Cricket jumper in Marino and Cotton by Abercrombie & Fitch (wonderful sweater, now sold out on their website - hopefully, they will bring it back next year)
Chino Trousers by Brave Star Selvage (these are seriously high-quality Chinos, and highly recommended)
Penny Loafers in dark brown pull-up leather by G.H. Bass (a true classic and the pull-up leathers are my favorites)
Eyewear by Persol.  These are their  Persol 3007-V 1056 with Persol 3007-C clip-on sunglasses. You can read my review here.

Bonus: Watch = Blancpain Fifty Fathoms with Antique Tan Ostrich Leg skin strap by Dangerous9straps

I must say, I've grown very fond of my handwoven Panama boater from  Mayser hat-makers.  You can read the full review of this hat here.  I know I'm on borrowed time this my precious straw hat this year and will be packing it away soon, and am already feeling the loss of it to my hat box.

Today's outfit: Can't go wrong with Vintage Harris Tweed and Prince of Wales Fair Isle Pullover

Today's outfit is just a classic combo made a bit livelier by the addition of a green Harris Tweed with Red, Black, Blue, and Gold overcheck and the ever classic Price of Wales patterned Fair Isle sweater.  This pullover Fair Isle Pattern was made famous by the portrait of the young Prince of Wales wearing this sweater which was no double hand knitted for him as a gift and which he loved so much that he wore it for this portrait.  This version was knitted by Jamieson's of Shetland, who are rightly famous for their Fair Isle knitwear.  Sadly, I have not found anywhere that this version is currently available.  unfortunately, Jamieson's doesn't sell direct to the public, but Dick's of Edinburgh typically offers a good selection of designs.

Harris Tweed is resurfacing again in one of my favorite vintage sports jackets - green with over check in black, red, gold and blue.  The one you'll no doubt recognize from the header of this blog and one which I expect to soon do a close-up and review.

Plus:
Blancpain Fifty Fathoms on Dangerous9straps Antique Tan Ostrich Leg skin from from our Manufacture Collection.  These straps are in stock and available for immediate purchase:

Today's outfit: Triple Tweed!

Today's outfit:

  • Jacket: Vintage Harris Tweed in green barleycorn with orange and maroon over-check
  • Trousers: Puppies-tooth Tweed made to measure by Spencer's Trousers (they've got a great new website:-)
  • Boots: Fred Brogue boots in Tan by Grenson
  • Jumper: Aran in Ecru by Michael Ross
  • Scarf: Harris Tweed tan herringbone with orange and blue over-check by Ten10creations

Plus: Breitling Seawolf on Sahara Tan African Goat skin strap from Dangerous9straps' Manufacture Collection.  These straps are in stock and available for immediate purchase.

Nice detail of the watch and strap as well as the Tweeds I'm wearing today for my fellow Tweedheads:

Love these trousers from Spencer's Trousers - I'll be doing a review on them very soon and the Grenson Fred boots as well - 7+ years in service and still going strong.  I think I've got them burnished up nicely:

Today's outfit

Today's outfit consists of:
  • Sunglasses by Persol (PO649 -Madreterra)
  • Vintage Harris Tweed jacket in multicolor Houndstooth by Burberry.
  • Blue with pink stripes Oxford cloth Shirt by Samuel Windsor
  • Aran pullover in Charcoal by Woolovers
  • Japanese Okayama Selvage Denim jeans by Weargustin
  • Penny Loafers in brown pull up leather by G.H Bass
  • Charcoal Wool socks by Goldtoe
  • Peccary Driving gloves in Cognac by Hungant
Plus:
  • PAM 288 on Racing Tan Teju Lizard strap from the Dangerous9straps Manufacture Collection.  These straps design specifically for PAM Radiomir looks stunning I think on my PAM288.  Dangerous9straps has these straps in current stock and available for immediate shipping.

I really like the dark brown Weejuns made from the Pull-Up leather, it's very nice leather and much softer and with a more natural feel finish than the high-gloss leather versions that they are making:

I love these Persol PO649 Sunglasses. The Color is called 'Madreterra' with Green tint lenses and as you can see they just glow in the sunlight. I'll be doing a review on these as soon as I can figure out how to take a decent photo of sunglasses (much more difficult than I would have thought)
